The best wrap dress for your shape

Wrap yourself up in magic!

The wrap dress is a magical and a fabulously designed dress and we have Diane von Furstenberg to thank for it.

Long sleeves, stretch fabric, nips in at the waist, beautiful neckline, it’s great for larger busts and an oh so flattering shape. There is not one shape it doesn’t suit.

It ticks so many boxes and it’s a must in your wardrobe, it has been around for decades so why would it go out of fashion now? It is so versatile and can be worn for work, weddings, nights out, casual days…all you need to do is change up your accessories.

Here are some examples of how I think they are best worn and for the right occasion:

This printed DVF wrap dress has so much to offer, the border attracts attention to the neckline, the waist, and hem whilst also hiding the tummy as the border is the darkest part of the print. The sleeves are a great length if you are conscious of your arms and also this dress is a great all year rounder. This is her classic style and appears every season in her collection just in different prints and colours. Ok so they are pricey but think about your cost per wear and you will keep it forever!

Wrap dresses for curvy girls and bigger busts

This block colour wrap dress is another fab find. To make this a bit edgier I would accessorise this with a chunky necklace, leather biker jacket and wedges to balance out the silhouette. This is a great example of how well the wrap dress works over a larger chest. A lot of larger chested women find it hard to find dresses to fit properly, with a wrap you do all the adjusting! If the neckline does come down too low then simply wear with a camisole top underneath – even better if it has a bit of lace detail.

Wrap dresses in the Winter

Fashion blogger Lucy Williams nails this winter look wrap dress, I would simply add black tights to keep the legs cosy. To add some colour just add a pop of colour on the lips like Lucy has, alternatively accessorise with a bright bag.
